Peter Scalaro is a partner specializing in financial planning, accounting and tax services for a broad base of clients, including individuals and closely held businesses in various industries, as well as executive tax and business consulting.
Peter believes strongly in investing time with his clients to develop strong relationships in order to better understand their needs and serve them as a business adviser.
Prior to rejoining MahoneySabol in August 2005, Peter spent 5 years at Bank of America as vice president and tax manager. He was responsible for the compliance and regulatory reporting of the asset-based lending subsidiaries of the bank. He also has over 26 years of experience with national and regional public accounting firms.
Peter spent the early years of his accounting career at Ernst & Young in New York City. There, he worked on various high profile athlete and entertainer clients in their arts and entertainment industry group.
Peter received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from the University of Hartford.

Peter is a member of both the state and national societies of CPAs, is a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs State Tax Committee and has also served on various boards including the Arthritis Foundation, The Berlin/Kensington YMCA and the Joseph Manzi Foundation.
